What’s been happening in the world of Chinavasion this week?
Finally it has begun to cool off a little here in South China, but temperatures are still in the high 20’s! We have safely negotiated the National Day holiday (October 1st), where the locals celebrate the birth of Communist China with a week’s holiday.
China has been in the news this week due to the USA’s accusation that the Chinese government is deliberately undervaluing the yuan to give its companies an unfair trade advantage. China’s unsurprising response? “Mind your own business.”

Until this week Skype was only available to those lucky Verizon users in the USA, but now anyone with an Andoid phone can download it from Android Market! Woo!
In the USA calls can only be made through a WiFi connection, but elsewhere in the world 3G Skype calls are confirmed.
