It’s been a strange week on the Internet, many people have become all conspiratorial for some reason and, outside the launch of the latest iPod much of the news went on spy gadgets and the latest actions of governments afraid of their denizens:

  • IT industry portal site earthweb.com took a very revealing, and comprehensive look at spy gadgets, something not unfamiliar to us at Chinavasion. Read the story here, (itmanagement.earthweb.com/datbus/article.php/3732451).

  • The gadget site for the thinking web citizen, Wired, looked at the British government’s latest campaign to make the novel 1984 into a reality and the response from web citizens. See it here, (blog.wired.com/gadgets/2008/03/metropolitan-po.html).

  • Spring is upon us and one writer for Yahoo technology (tech.yahoo.com/blogs/null/84344) wanted to remind readers on the importance of cleaning up your gadgets. Good idea, I’ll have to dig out my laptop tool bag and get to work.

  • Fashion and gadgetry combined at the uber-gadget blog Gizmodo (gizmodo.com/363424/multimedia-watch-makes-wrist-mounted-accessories-useful-almost) when they reviewed our 8GB MP4 watch.
