For the mobile phone producer Samsung, 2016 has not been a pleasant year. The company has spent the past 7 months trying to clean up the mess they made with their exploding Samsung Galaxy Note 7 and is now eagerly waiting to show the world, once again, what they are capable of.

Last Wednesday, Samsung released its newest flagship phones – the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus. With the announcement of these latest Android phones and along with an upcoming big-budget marketing campaign, the company hopes to rescue its global reputation.

Galaxy S8 – The Latest Samsung Android Phone

Like most previous flagship Android phones introduced by Samsung, the Galaxy S8 will be one of the most attractive phones announced this year. It features a beautiful curved display that covers almost the entire front of the mobile phone. Thanks to this Infinity Display (as Samsung likes to call it), the phone will only feature miniature bezels at the top and bottom – allowing you to truly take the most out of your upcoming mobile media experience. With its nearly bezel-less design, the Galaxy S8 manages to fit a stunning 5.8-Inch display into a device smaller than the iPhone.

The body of this 5 Inch Android phone is ultra-thin and symmetrical on the front and back. Thanks to this design, the phone feels natural to your hand and easily slides in your pocket. Compared to other flagship Android smartphones, the Galaxy S8 certainly grabs the top position when it is about design.

Another big change to the design of this Android mobile phone is that the Galaxy S8 does not feature a home button. Instead of a physical button, the phone will display digital keys at the bottom of the screen that include the standard Android system controls. This design we have seen previously in other flagship Android phones such as the Huawei P9.

At the rear of the phone, you will be able to find a stunning 12MP camera that is great for snapping pictures and video of all those special moments in life. Located next to the rear cam is an ultra-fast fingerprint scanner and, at the front of this beautiful Android phone, you’ll find a sophisticated 8MP snapper for selfies and video calls.

Along with its fingerprint scanner, the Galaxy S8 will also adopt the iris scanner that was previously introduced in the Galaxy Note 7. This little security feature will significantly upgrade your mobile security and allows you to keep your personal files secure at all time. According to Samsung, the Iris scanner found in this Android phone is even more secure than its fingerprint scanner. Additionally, its 8MP front camera features built-in face detection that can be used to unlock your mobile phone. Although this feature is much faster than the fingerprint scanner or Iris scanner, it is not as secure.

Android 7.0 Nougat And A New Digital Assistant

As expected, Samsungs latest Android phone will run on an Android 7.0 operating system that is known for delivering an exceptionally smooth user experience. Packed with the latest software features, this OS lets you enjoy all your phone has to offer in a powerful and lag-free manner.

Although Android Nougat is a nice feature, its main and most impressive software feature in the Galaxy S8 is Bixby. Bixby is Samsung’s newly developed digital assistant that allows you to control your phone entirely by voice. At the moment, the usage of Bixby is limited to certain Samsung Apps and system functions; however, it is expected to work with other applications as well in the future.

Besides its voice control feature, Bixby comes with a new home panel that is filled up with useful information. This new feature can best be compared to Google Now, which as been present on Android phones and the iPhone for years.

Hardware That Leaves An Everlasting Impression

The Samsung Galaxy S8 will be equipped with some of the latest and most powerful hardware available on the market. Featuring the Snapdragon 835 CPU along with 4GB of RAM, this Android phone is capable of dealing with the toughest and most demanding Applications. Whether you’re into games, movies, mobile Apps, or simply like to browse the web – nothing is too much for this Android smartphone.

Besides its energy efficient hardware, the mobile phone furthermore packs a 3000mAh battery that delivers numerous hours of continuous usage time. Thanks to all this power, you’ll be able to enjoy all this phone has to offer throughout the longest of days without needing to fear about running out of juice.

Samsung Galaxy S8 – A Portable Android Computer

Another neat trick the Galaxy S8 is capable of and which is worth mentioning is that the phone can dock with a monitor, mouse, and keyboard. Thanks to this, you’ll be able to use this Android smartphone as if it were a miniature portable computer that can be carried around literally anywhere.

In order to use your Android smartphone as a mini computer, you will need the DeX dock which, unfortunately, will be sold separately. Once your phone has been connected to this dock, you will be able to run Android applications in a desktop environment – bringing along an amazing computing experience. From now on you’ll be able to enjoy all your movies and games on a big screen – guaranteeing that you’ll never have to feel bored again while enjoying your time at home or at a friend’s place.
