7 Awesome Features Everyone Want To See In Apple Watch 2

The second generation of Apple Watch might be released in the fall of 2016. However, it was not announced at WWDC 2016 along with iOS 10 & watchOS 3 but still we can be sure that it will be launched somewhere in Sep 2016.

This time, you may see two versions of Apple Watch 2 that include features like a long lasting battery, better waterproofing, improved processor, GPS etc.

Before we go ahead, let’s take a quick recap of the first generation of Apple watch. It was launched on April 24, 2015, with features like Heart rate sensor, accelerometer, and gyroscope; Ambient light sensor, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth etc.

The entire smartwatch industry was eagerly waiting for the release of Apple smartwatch, however, it was not the first smartwatch in the market. Major brands like Sony, Samsung,  LG, Motorola, Pebble were already present with their smartwatches, but only Apple smartwatches gained huge popularity due to its unique features and security.

New Micro LED Screen:

The first version of Apple smartwatch has the OLED screen which is heavier, this time, Apple is planning to ditch this OLED screen and adding the Micro LED display.

Micro LED screen is thinner than OLED screen, so Apple Watch 2 will be lighter in weight. Although, the cost will be higher as these screens are expensive than the OLED screens .

The Apple watch 2 might be untethered from iPhone:

Currently, Apple watch relies on iPhone for activities like messaging, weather updates, location tracking, and Apple pay functions. But now it could be expected that the Apple watch 2 might go independent from a paired iPhone.

Improved Battery Life:

Right now, the short battery life is the prime issue in Apple Watch. You need to charge the watch after almost every 4 to 5 hours but Apple is improving the battery life in its new smartwatch version. Hope, the new smartwatch will provide better battery life.

Better Waterproofing in Apple Watch 2:

The current Apple watch protects itself for a shorter duration from water immersion but now Apple is planning to increase its IPX7 waterproof standard to an IP67 rating. Thus, Apple Watch 2 will be suitable for a wider range of watersports and outdoor activities.

Apple watches 2 will provide health warnings:

Apple has been continuously working on various health-related sensors of Apple Watch, also Apple is hiring high-level lawyers who specialize in health privacy regulations. Apple is looking for a ‘privacy counsel’ who can work with the company’s engineering team and provide advice on privacy aspects of acquisitions.

New watch will be more fashionable:

Rumors say that the new Apple watch will be more fashionable in terms of band and screen. It will be more appealing than the previous version, also it will be launched with some new colors.

The wide range of prices:

The Apple smartwatch (Both 38mm & 42mm) comes in variants that start from $949 to $9500. I think this time we will see more price ranges as compared to the earlier Apple Watch.
