The Effects of Artificial Intelligence on the Civilization
It is still a big question mark whether Artificial intelligence is a beautiful dream or a bad nightmare to human civilization. We are still not clear if our next generations will praise us for bringing artificial intelligence or criticize us for our rakishness. Like any other big technology, AI also has its pros and cons, But depending on the impact on society and history, it will be judged whether people will look into the good or into the bad aspects of AI. We are not responsible what our descendants will think about AI but we should stay updated about all the impacts of AI on our civilization.
AI is making information available to a greater extent. Artificial intelligence is helping in healthcare by analysis and recommendation of treatments. It is also seen to offer its helping hand to scientists, lawyers, social counselors, and techies in their work. AI is creating improvements in education also, used by some communicative programs in order to learn their projects in a more practical way. AI always stands as a problem solver in experiments and tough processes.
When computers are used in education, the student learns to program, and along with it, they also learn statistics, analytics, and mathematics in practical applications. Also, teachers no longer have to keep checking each page of the students test book, because proper scanning and checking off each student’s exam book can be done just as well by computers.
When robots start working in factories and industries, people will find they have more time to relax, to some extent, from the office work and will be able to spend more time with family, friends, and society. People today generally find hey have very little time to spend with their loved ones, because all they do is to work and work to earn money. Once artificial intelligence is able to handle the tasks, there will be an opportunity for humans to be more emotional, spending a good deal more time with their loved ones and developing interpersonal relationships to a greater extent. This will give rise to an enhancing of humanity among humans.
Any AI is careful about intelligence because even a computer code runs according to the way it is presented. Programmers try harder and harder to make their work more presentable. When we need to develop better AI projects we will have to work harder and harder, fighting the boundaries beyond average human thinking. Thus, gaining a lot of experiences and intelligence. Hence, while working with the development of AIs, humans themselves will become more intelligent and smarter
Due to the misuse of AI, even political turmoil can happen, but with further development in Artificial Intelligence, machines will be able to trace the words spoken by a leader in his public speech, machines, will be able to understand images, develop evidence, refreshing memory and find out the true value of any candidate with the capacity to judge their potential to become the best leader of a country’s government. This is what our future generations will be enjoying, but not us.
AI might even affect the economy of people in an adverse way, because, due to the high use of machines employment rates may be cut and this could result in the poor economy of the country. But certainly the economy can be balanced because machines should be many more times efficiently than the humans they replace, who can go on to pursue more fulfilling roles in society. In order to use AI in their work, people will have to skill themselves and hence human intelligence will also be enhanced.
People also have the illusion that the effect of AI will result in moral destruction. This is completely stupid, because humans who have created AI, should never lose humanity as they are the one who are going to teach humanity to the AI systems. Hence, it is clear that AI is not at all dehumanizing
