Today is the first day of the biggest mobile event of the year! Mobile World Congress 2016 will be hosted in sunny Barcelona from February 22nd to 25th. Anyone who’s anything in the world of mobile is joining the event and lots of exciting announcements are to be expected.
Here are the 5 smartphones that everyone’s looking forward to seeing over the course of the event.
The new LG phone is said to be very different from the company’s previous phones. The G5 will be all-metal and feature something called Magic Slot – a special slot in the smartphone for a compatible line of accessories. G5’s design additions are understandable – after all, the company has partnered up with Bang & Olufsen fot the new model.
Lenovo’s Mystery Phones
Lenovo is expected to announce the launch of more than one device at this year’s congress -yet, not much is known about the upcoming new creations. All we know is that the presented models will be setting the path for Lenovo after its has phased out Motorola as its brand name.
Xiomi will be introducing audiences to its new flagship smartphone – Mi 5. A series of videos have been made by the company to lure the users in for the big reveal during the congress. Playing around with the combo “instantly fast”, the previews are a hint to the coming phone’s great performance – and, knowing Xiomi, probably a really friendly price tag as well.
With all the enigma surrounding most models at Mobile Congress, it’s great to have at least one device that has no secrets. Buillitt is a British company that makes rugged Android smartphones under Cat brand name. Their latest device, Cat S60, comes with a thermal camera – Flir, 4.7 inch HD screen, Android Marshmallow operating system and a Snapdragon 617 processor.
HP Elite X3
Whole Android seems to dominate Mobile Congress, HP is coming out with an upscale Windows phone. The Elite X3 is a sleek 6-inch device that sports the Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB of RAM, 32GB of internal space + 200GB externally.
