We have seen on numerous occasions mischievous drones hitting the headlines for being flown in restricted areas or used inappropriately.
To tackle some of the unwanted drone activity one Dutch company has taken an unusual, yet not too surprising approach to their air defense solution.
This low tech solution adopted by security company Guard From Above, uses the unparalleled aerial abilities of birds of prey to intercept and take out hostile drones.
These supreme masters of the air can easily out maneuver and intercept small to medium sized drones which pose no real threat to them. you can see clearly in the video below the ease with which they take down a popular quad copter drone.

Whether other security forces will follow the lead of the Dutch we don’t know, but unless you can out-fly an eagle you should certainly make sure you abide by the proper rules and regulations when flying your drone.
This isn’t the first time that birds of prey have been used to patrol the sky as they frequently take to the air over sporting events (such as Wimbledon) to scare away pigeons and other birds.
