New Sticky Disc Turns Any Watch into a Smart Watch
The Chronos+ pad is a new gadget under development in the US aimed at turning any regular watch into a smart watch.
Unlike regular smart watches this little sticky disc doesn’t have voice control or even a screen for that matter, but what it lacks in features it makes up for in simple functionality.
Mark Nichol, the company’s founder told the BBC that the Chronos + is focused on including the most critical functionality.
The little disc uses Bluetooth technology has built in wireless charging and simply sticks to the back of your regular wrist watch. Its barely detectable and sits right on the wrist where it can light up or deliver discreet vibrations when your synced Smartphone receives a new message or call. You can tap the side of you watch to skip music tracks or take a photo with your phone and it should retail for around $100 US.
It certainly looks like a nice alternative to some of the more expensive luxury smart watches but when you consider that the market already has many versatile smart watches with a lot more functionally and retailing for significantly less money than the Chronos+ it remains to be seen if this new venture can take off.
