The Phone in Pink. Rose Gold iPhone Tops Sales in China
We all know that China loves the iPhone. With rocketing sales years after year, it seems like the Mainland’s hunger for the latest and the priciest Apple logo blessed devices in insatiable.
According to the company’s CEO, Tim Cook, “Sales for iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus have been phenomenal, blowing past any previous first-weekend sales results in Apple’s history.” That’s right –with $13 million in sales in the first three days, there’s no reason for modesty.
China is said to account for most of that 30% year over year increase and there seems to be nothing that can make the locals love the iPhone more. Correction – seemed. Turns out, there is such a thing – and it’s pink. Sorry, rose gold. The pinkish smartphone seems to be the one everyone’s after and if you want to grab one in China or Hong Kong today, you will be put on the 3-4 week waiting list. What is it about the rosy gadget that has conquered the hearts and pockets of Chinese consumers? Could it have something to do with luck? Does it match the latest designer outfits? Or, is it that people simply love pink? We may never know.
However, if you are also a fan of pink tech and prefer to not stand in a line at the Apple Store, there are a few gadgets you can pick up right here at Chinavasion.
Take a look at the iNew U5 Smartphone, coming in an almost exactly iPhone-like color tint. Just a bit over $100.
If you are looking for something even pinkier, you may prefer the VKWorld Discovery S1 3D smartphone. In addition to the bright color, the phone also sports a real Naked Eye 3D screen.
Want to make it a set? Add a rose gold smartwatch!
For a stylish night of karaoke, grab a pink Bluetooth microphone, coming with a 1000mAh battery for 5 hours of uninterrupted (provided you have nice neighbours) signing.
