New iOS 9 Features You Should Check Out Right Now

When new software arrives, whether it is IOS or Android, there are lots of reasons we find to complain. However, in addition to reminiscing about the good old days, (and quite ironically) we are always excited about the new features to discover.

In this post we are taking a look at several highlights that iOS 9 has brought to our devices.

Search in Settings

If you have never been a fan of scrolling through long lists of titles in the Settings menu – you finally don’t have to. The new OS comes with a search bar that you can use to quickly locate what you need in Settings. That means that things have gotten way faster and you can get back to the important stuff right away, instead of scrolling through long item lists.

Wi-Fi Assist

A really nice feature when it comes to your web browsing needs. How annoying it is when you phone independently finds a Wi-Fi network of less than desirable quality and messes wit your fast browsing on 3 or 4G? With Wi-Fi Assist, your iPhone will avoid bad wireless network by default and save you lots of irritating troubles. 

Selfies and Screenshots Folders

It’s nice to have your photos organized. However, until now, selfies and screenshots where not considered folder-worthy in iOS. Well, things have changed, and you will now have a dedicated space for selfies and screenshots respectively. Think how much easier it will be to find that fun selfie you took or a screenshot of an important message when they are neatly grouped instead of strewn around your photo library.

Headphone Intuition

Apple have always been good at getting inside your head and guessing what you want before you actually want it. With the new OS, whenever you plug in your headphones, the phone will automatically fire up your music application of choice (and it does not have to be iTunes). This truly intuitive feature is a great way to make the communication between you and your device even smoother.

Apple Pay Gets Its Own Shortcut

Apple Pay is not a new feature in iOS, but in iOS9 it finally gets a dedicated quick way to access it. All you need to do is double-tap the Home Button, and be immediately taken into Apple Pay. Naturally, you will need to go through further identification later, but the shortcut is a pleasure to have by itself.
