Following the rumors that Chinese Phone manufactures JiaYu had closed and possible gone into bankruptcy the company has come out to defiantly quash these rumors in an official statement.
According to the letter as shown on the JiaYu webpage the company will be undergoing some restructuring and “will see long-term partners Vanzo Communications and Truly Optoelectronics Co. Ltd become part of a larger parent company”.
JiaYu is one of the older Chinese phone companies and was founded back in 2009 as a high-tech enterprise committed to mobile communications.
While the company had limited success and brand recognition outside of China, they maintained a strong core group of fans in the middle kingdom where they sold highly competitive mid and entry level Smartphone’s.
Hopefully JiaYu will be able to turn around their fortunes following their restructuring. Chinavasion will be waiting eagerly for any new devices to be launched that we hope can build on the success of the JiaYu S3.
This explains why we haven´t recieved the lolipop update for our S3. Just about all other chinese smartphones have either 5.0 or 5.1. I guess it is time to move on to another company. ANd I was really satisfied with my S3 Advance.
Well fingers crossed that they will be back in a several months after a restructuring, and we hope they can offer some upgrades and new models but we will have to wait and see.
