What’s New In Facebook News Feed?

If you are a Facebook user, you may have already noticed a few changes in your News Feed.
What are they exactly and is this something to be happy about? This is what we will try to cover in this post.
The bulk of change happening to Facebook revolves around giving us more control of the News Feed.
If you often find yourself scrolling through hundreds of updates you would rather not see, then this is what you have been waiting for.
Now, you have the power to prioritize what you see in your News Feed and from whom.
We all have a list of friends or interesting subscriptions that we are always happy to hear from. Now, we can set these people as “top friends”, and content from their accounts will appear first in your list of updates.
If you feel that someone, on the other hand, is being too chatty, you can now choose to push the content from them back or not see it anymore, without unfriending the people in question. You can now also see all your followed and unfollowed friends and to manage who you want to get updates from.
Another new News Feed related feature is Discover. If you are looking on enriching your News Feed with some more information, you can visit this section to browse new page recommendations. These page recommendations won’t be made out of the blue and will be based on the subscriptions you already have.
While IOS users are already enjoying the updates, Android phone owners will have to wait till the end of the week.
The changes should give individual users more control of what type of information makes into their News Feed, while letting businesses advertise to those, who are potentially more interested in purchasing their products or services.
So far, the updates seem to be like a win-win, but we are sure to hear more reviews from social media users as they are discovering the new features.
