Take Note Google Users, Google+ Photos is shutting down from 1st of August.
The photo sharing part of Google’s Social Network known as Google+ Photos is closing down at the end of the month.
However Google Photos (Yes it is different from Google + Photos) will remain. This is the free to use, unlimited free photo host.
Starting from August the 1st the Android version of Google+ Photos will be switched off first and that will be shortly followed by the iOS version.
But all is not lost as Google is offering a tool to transfer your Google + Photos to a Google Photos account. This should be available on your Google + Account page and you can read more about the switch over here
If like me this is a little confusing don’t worry, even if you don’t get your photos all transferred before the 1st of August Google says you should still be able to transfer them after that time.
As for the Google Photos you can get a good overview of the system you can read our how to Edit Pictures in Google Photos blog post as well as how to get started with your Google Photos library.
