Take Note Google Users, Google+ Photos is shutting down from 1st of August.

The photo sharing part of Google’s Social Network known as Google+ Photos is closing down at the end of the month.

However Google Photos (Yes it is different from Google + Photos) will remain. This is the free to use, unlimited free photo host.

Starting from August the 1^st the Android version of Google+ Photos will be switched off first and that will be shortly followed by the iOS version.

But all is not lost as Google is offering a tool to transfer your Google + Photos to a Google Photos account. This should be available on your Google + Account page and you can read more about the switch over here

If like me this is a little confusing don’t worry, even if you don’t get your photos all transferred before the 1^st of August Google says you should still be able to transfer them after that time.
