3 Android Apps For Gesture Control
A few blogs back, we wrote a few detailed “how to” pieces on how to enable Smart Gesture and Smart Wake feature on your Android phone. We covered the Cubot X10 (How To Enable the Smart Wake Feature On the Cubot X10) and DOOGEE Titans 2 DG700 (How To Enable Smart Wake Feature On DOOGEE Titans2 DG700). So, if you are a happy owner of one of these models, you should be enjoying the smart functions in full.
But what if your phone has not yet been blessed with the gift of smart gesture?
Of course, you could always upgrade – quite a number of Chinese phones are coming with the feature (just like the models mentioned above). However, if you are not on the market for a new phone, a few simple apps could help you out.
As the name suggests, this app will put more of your phone’s functions under slide control. With sliding, or swiping, you will be able to handle such tasks as killing all apps, bringing up the recently opened one, get quick access to contact lists, email apps and more.
One of the special features of the application is the option to create various SideBars with categories: games, apps, tools, settings, etc and get quick access to them with a specific gesture.
Wake On Gesture
Wake On Gesture is a simple app that lets you make your phone sleep and wake up with gestures. It’s a fun and easy way to make your smartphone come alive – and also a faster one. The app will not take up too much space and is easy to install, allowing you to explore what it’s like to control your phone in a new way.
Smart Controls: Air Gestures
Smart Controls: Air Gestures is a more comprehensive tool, that promises its users to be able to control their phone “without even touching it”. There are three key features that support that claim and here they are:
– wave control: with this feature you will be able to perform a number of functions with just a wave of the hand. You will be able to play, change and pause songs, answer calls, reject calls, put them on silent and more. A great thing here is that you can customize which actions certain gestures will perform.
– air gesture gallery: you will be able to flip through pictures with your gestures.
– speaking notifications: with this one, you can make your phone read your phone’s notifications out loud (from the speaker or with the headphones connected).
