Friday FAQ’s, Cheaper Shipping, DVB-T And Chinavasion Review Questions

It’s been a busy week at Chinavasion.
Not only did our very popular WiFi China cell phone prices take a hammering (up to 15% according to our blog Attn Resellers, Chinavasion Cheap China Cell Phone Deals Just Got Better) but we launched a cell phone that thinks it’s a lighter (or a lighter that thinks it’s a cell phone).

We are also on the verge of the very disruptive Chinese New Year, but more about this later.
So without further ado lets look at some of the more common questions we saw this week.
I wrote a review on a product But I haven’t seen it on your product page. Why can’t I see it?
Fear not, your review hasn’t been deleted or forgotten, it just hasn’t been approved yet.
We receive something like 400 reviews a day, with many of them being spam comments advertising the benefits of Viagra or offering cheap loans.
We have automated software to sort through the spam but we will find your comment/question, approve it and answer any questions you have about the product. so stay tuned and it will appear on our site before you know it.
Will you be sending out items over the Chinese New Year break?
If you’ve sourced from China before you’ll know that the Chinese New Year break is one of those things that can be as disruptive as a nationwide strike to business.
All business goes on hold for seven days or more while the entire country, including China factories, logistics companies and our competitors go on holiday.
The effects of this holiday can be felt up to a month afterward.
As we said in a recent press release ( prweb.com/releases/wholesale/dropship/prweb3533774.htm ) we will be processing orders right through the holiday period so that items can be shipped out quickly and eBay resellers can still enjoy good DSR ratings.
However it is worth noting that China shipping companies won’t courier items between the 12th of February and 17th of February so we will not be able to ship during this time.
To combat this we suggest informing customers of a potential delay and perhaps purchasing a low level of reserve items.
By doing this you should be able to get through the holiday unscathed with lots of sales and no angry customers.
I live in a country that uses DVB-T will your DVB-T products work for me?
Before purchasing a product, you need to look to the product description to see which compression the device utilizes.
Put simply Digital TV signals are sent in the MPEG-2 or MPEG-4 format and the device you use will also need to understand that format.
While most DVB-T countries use the MPEG-2 compression of DVB-T there are a number of countries that use the MPEG-4 compression rate, or are moving from the MPEG-2 codec to the MPEG-4 codec. According to Wikipedia this is that list of countries:
- Cyprus
- Estonia
- France
- Greece
- Hungary
- Ireland
- Latvia
- Lithuania
- Norway
- New Zealand
- Poland
- Portugal
- Serbia
- Slovenia
- Sweden
- India
- Israel
- Taiwan
- United Arab Emirates
- Kenya
- South Africa
Look at part two of the description to check whether a DVB-T receiver uses the MPEG-2 or MPEG-4 codec before putting any DVB-T devices in your shopping cart and you should be fine.
I lost the manual, Is there any place I can download manual from?
If you are missing a manual or have lost a manual please feel free to contact us at with the product number of the manual you are missing and our friendly customer service team will get you the documentation you will need.
Why are your shipping prices so high, Can I get a cheaper shipping price?
Chinavasion does not make any profit on shipping fees.
Because Chinavasion is based in China shipping does cost more than just sourcing from your home country, be it USA, the UK or Uganda. We always select the fastest shipping options to make sure that items get to you or your customer faster than the competition for better customer satisfaction and longer term gain.
However, due to our business volume, we already get special discounted rate from our shipping partners.
Additionally, our shipping team is always looking to cut costs to increase profitability for resellers and dropshippers. In fact, they have managed to score a significant victory recently.
We passed the savings straight onto you so that you should be seeing bigger profit margins from the Chinese New Year onwards.
You’ve always got the latest gadgets. What products should I watch out for in the near future?
The problem with baby monitors was you couldn’t pass messages back to reassure your children that everything was ok… well that will change very, very soon…

The days of the punchcard are numbered, so is the risk of employees fudging records to get more pay for less time. The Fingerprint Time Attendance System with Stand is here to eliminate payroll’s logistic cares.
- Is this fingerprint access code scanner secure from employee pranks?
Yes, it is provided with a professional software application that keep tracks of everyone’s entry and exit activity and allows you to store individual file records of each employee.
With its 3D sensor it can accurately detect fingers and heat, which means it cannot be fooled by fingerprint pictures or photocopies. - What happens if I or one of my employees injures a registered finger and the fingerprint scanner was no longer able to recognize the original finger registration?
Simple, you can connect it to your computer and delete you registration details. After that, re-register and alternate finger and your good to go. - Do I really need to set my computer to Beijing time in order for the software to work?
Your computer needs to have its home city and date style to be Beijing style. You can set the date and time on your computer to your local time, but the computers home city and date format should be set to Beijing. - What’s the user ID and password to access administrative privileges on this unit?
The user ID and password can be found in the user manual, but here is it anyway; Userid is “admin”, no quotes needed.
