I would never transfer it over public hotspots, they are really unsafe!
And if you want to do it at home or at a friends place, I wouldn’t recommend Software like MeshUp.
I would use ES FileExplorer.
It is on the top list of android apps and the reason for it: it works!
you can transfer not only to PCs or network storages, you can access FTP, Dropbox, OneDrive, Google Drive, … also through secured channels if possible!
is it more complex: Yes, but you can manage your files a lot better with it!
