Apple Watch Lasts 19 Hours

The Watch Apple probably lasts about 2.5 to 3 hours when in highly active use. In normal use, where the screen so often turned off, Apple hopes that the battery lasts about 19 hours, as reported by 9to5Mac.

Although Apple at the presentation of the Apple Watch reported that the watch needs to be charged every night, there is little known officially about the battery life of the device. One major reason why the Apple Watch wasn’t launched last year was mainly because of worries about its battery life. The special charging mechanism wasn’t as effective as was previously hoped.

According to anonymous sources, the first generation of the Apple Watch will not achieve the nineteen hours target. However, the watch is expected to last about three days when in standby mode.

Another notable detail is that the battery lasts about 4 hours, when the sport functions are actively used. Apple has reportedly three thousand test models in circulation.

The battery life may be affected by relatively fast processor and high resolution display. The processor in the Apple Watch, the S1, is also used in the iPad 2 and iPhone 4s. The retina display of the watch would have a frame rate of 50 frames per second (fps).

One day battery life is currently the standard for most smart phones including our Android watch collection.
