Chrome for iOS: New Material Design Look & New Features
Google has provided a major update for the iOS version of Chrome. The browser now supports iOS 8, larger screens and Handoff transfer with OS X.
In addition, the new iOS Chrome features Google’s ‘Material Design’ which was already applied to the Android Chrome version. The tighter and more minimalistic appearance makes it easier see which areas and buttons can be touched/pressed. Also animations run faster and smoother.
Chrome also now has an improved share menu, but the user can easily switch back to the standard iOS 8 menu. The update, according to Google, also offers better support for iPhones with large screens.
At last, Chrome for iOS now supports Handoff. With this feature, users open a page with a single click on their Mac, if it’s already open on their iPhone or iPad.
