The Forgo Smart Torch Unveiled at CES Las Vegas
Known as the biggest tech show of the year, the CES is where many new gadgets are unveiled and has seen loads of innovative releases over the years.
From this year’s CES show in Las Vegas is the latest in smart flashlights. These types outdoor multi tools combine several functions to save pack weight while providing a range of useful features for everyday use but this latest one combines some truly great features into a really powerful package.
This smart flashlight is no different and has GPS, 2 way Walkie Talkie and a backup battery. It’s named the Fogo and targeted to outdoor enthusiasts as an ultimate multi tool combining communication, navigation and lighting into the one device for all your outdoor adventures and to track your rides and treks.
The team behind the Fogo says that due to its array of sensors it can be used to help keep you safe and out of trouble. It has an IPX8 rating, features two 3500mAh batteries and has a built in charger. With the ability to connect to your Smartphone via Bluetooth and GPS features it lets you set way-points so it can keep you on track wherever you go. The powerful led flashlight will automatically adjust its brightness for depending whether your lighting the path ahead or holding it up to search for navigational markers and what’s more will flash to notify you should you wander of the preset route, very ingenious.
Touted as “The Swiss Army Knife Of Personal Lighting” on Techcrunch, the Fogo is expected to be launched on Kickstarter soon and they will be selling various editions of the flashlight at separate price points.
