Everybody is busy ordering their Christmas stock and the customer service team is being kept on its toes as many new customers questions come in.

There were one or two that popped up a little more frequently than others, and we are answering them below for all the world to see.

So read on as we tackle income tax, package contents and shipping questions and some commonly asked questions about yet another phone that has been incredibly popular with end customers and resellers alike.

Do I have to pay any tax when I buy from Chinavasion?

As Chinvasion is a wholesaler we sell DDU ( Duty Delivered Unpaid ) .Dealing with taxes of products you import from China is your responsibility as the importer.

Therefore if you are a dropshipper we highly recommend you let your customers know that they may have to pay import taxes.

However, in most cases, import taxes are not high and we will try to work with you to help smooth the shipping process.

If I buy items from you does it mean that I will only get the product and not get any box or user manual?

All Chinavasion products are properly packed and come with English manual and all the necessary accessories, regardless of the purchasing quantity.

However, as we are a drop ship company first and foremost we will not put any type of Chinavasion advertising or branding on the product.

Is this phone like the iPhone?

No, this phone is better than the iPhone! Unlike the iPhone, the Thunder comes fully unlocked and ready for use with any network or carrier straight out of the box. You do not need to use any firmware hacks and risk “bricking” the phone. The Thunder also has dual SIM and video recording functionality (unlike the iPhone).

How can I install a Java application on this phone?

Search the internet for Java files that have the extension .jar (these are executable Java files). Not all of them will work. Some are especially for Nokia or other brand phones. Transfer it to your phone’s microSD card as you would normally transfer a file. From the FILE icon, locate your file and select it. Java will take over and ask you if you want to install it.
