7.5Gbps Mobile Speed Record
The 3G network is common place these days and the number of people getting online with the new 4G, LTE network is increasing as consumers enjoy the better speeds for downloading data to their devices.
Even though 4G hasn’t become the norm yet, phone giants Samsung are hard at work on 5G communications and report speeds of 7.5Gbps in their latest trials, that’s 50% faster than the 5Gbps that Ericsson claimed back in July of this year.
Before you get your hopes up its important to point out that the 5G technology is still at least 5 years away from being commercially available, but, the tests show just how much work is going on to bring phone users better services and systems in the future generation of phones. Even though there may be a wait for 5G you can still take advantage of the 4G technology which enables great download speeds. Chinavasion has a number of 4G phones that offer great value for money and let you enjoy terrific download speeds so you can join in with the fun.
The 7.5Gbps speeds claimed by Samsung were achieved when using a 28GHz 5G network while stationary, and in a vehicle traveling at 100km per hour speeds of 1.2Gbps were achieved which is very impressive.
The 28Ghz frequency is much higher than the 15Ghz frequency used by Ericsson and helps show off Samsung’s “hybrid adaptive array technology” which is designed to mitigate the short ranges that accompany high frequency communications. for more information you can read all about these developments here.
