How You Can Convert Your Bike to an Electric e-bike
The era of electric transportation is here, and electric bikes are just one form of electric transport that’s seen a huge increase in popularity. This is no surprise given the almost prohibitive cost of electric cars and constant increases in fuel prices. Electric bikes can be expensive as well, with many costing well over $2000 so it’s no surprise that electric bike conversion kits and DIY books for converting bikes are also in huge demand.
A very popular DIY book for electric bikes came from Micah Toll and it did very well on Kickstater earlier this year. Toll has built “hundreds of e-bikes” and spent much of his own time volunteering to “teach people how to build their own e-bikes”. He has now decided to make it even easier for would be e-bikers by launching a kit of his own on Kickstarter.
The reason he has decided to throw his hat into the ring and provide his own bike kit is simply “after seeing so many low quality kits with over-rated specifications that often confuse or trick consumers, I decided I wanted to make my own e-bike that would offer not only great value, but better performance and range than many of the other products currently available.”
Being very experienced in building e-bikes he has selected quality components at good prices to give both great performance and affordability, much like our own product selections at Chinavasion which now includes the “Uni-Wheel”, an electric transportation alternative.
