Barisieur: This Alarm Clock Will Wake You Up With A Cup of Freshly-Brewed Coffee
Hate being woken up by a jarring alarm? The Barisieur helps get up easier with the aroma of fresh coffee. Well, you might still hate it a little, because waking up is so painful, but you would have a cup of coffee right beside you 🙂
U.K based industrial designer Josh Renouf is the mastermind behind the clever design.
The Barisieur looks like an average alarm clock with a mini-chemistry set on the top. There are some stainless steel balls bearings inside a glass beaker that boil water through induction heating. The boiling water is pushed out of the beaker through a slim tube onto the ground coffee which is placed in a filter. And then the coffee drips slowly into a glass cup. The device also has a drawer for coffee grounds and sugar, and a container for milk.
So basically, this alarm clock wakes your up through the subtle sound of steel balls clinking against a water boiler and the smell of freshly-brewed coffee.
Its maker Josh Renouf is now in the process of making it avaible to purchase. The estimated retail price is between £150 and £250 (or around $250 to $420).
