Vanhawks Valour: The World’s First Smart Bike!
Aiming to make city cycling safer, Valour Technology presents the world’s first smart bike, – “Vanhawks Valour”.
So how smart is it?
Before you go, just connect the bike to your smartphone via Bluetooth, put the destination in the Valour app, and then the bike will automatically take you there.
For starters, it’s absolutely loaded with gyroscope, accelerometer, magnetometer, speed sensor and GPS that should make your ride more enjoyable and much safer. It can detect bumps in the road and give a rating to each road.Using these data, the bike will send you on the smoothest and safest route.
The built-in LED indicators on the handlebars will give the upcoming turns so that you can keep your eyes right on the road. And The handlebars will vibrate if you are getting too close to a car.
“I used to have my phone in front of my face while biking, which is really dangerous,” said Ali Zahid, chief operating officer and co-founder of Vanhawks, a Toronto-based startup making the Valour smart bike. “Too many times I’ve gone and almost been hit by a car.”
Following a Kickstarter campaign that raised more than $750,000. The bike is expected to hit the roads in October and retail for around $1,000.
