Recently there has been a lot of noise online regarding the OnePlus One and the E-Ceros One smartphones, both attempting to be a flagship killer at the time of announcement/launch. Here’s an in-depth comparison.

Launch Date
Though the E-Ceros One has been available for sale in April, 2014. The OnePlus One is still waiting to be shipped, the availability date i still uncertain.

Price Comparison
E-Ceros One: 199 USD
OnePlus One: 299-349 USD

E-CerosVsOnePlus

Main Specifications
The E-Ceros One comes with a MTK6592 Octa-Core processor, while the OnePlus One comes with a Qualcomm MSM8974AC Snapdragon 801 Quad-Core processor. While the E-Ceros has 8 core processor it’s not necessarily better than the quad core. It’s the experience that matters and we can expect both phones to run very smooth. The E-Ceros One comes with 2GB RAM while the OnePlus One is better on paper with a 3GB RAM.

Regarding the display, both phones offer 5.5 Inch HD screen. The resolutions of both phones are different though:
E-Ceros One: 1280×720 HD
OnePlus One: 1920×1080 FUll HD
In reality both phones have very high pixel density and it’s hard for the human eye to see a difference.

The battery capacity of the phones are very similar (E-Ceros: 2,800 mAh and OnePlus: 3,000 mAh). However, the slightly higher resolution of the OnePlus one screen will spend more energy, so we expect the battery life to be much better in reality for the E-Ceros phone.

When it comes to the Camera, the E-Ceros One has a 8 MP camera and the OnePlus One has a 13 MP camera. Usually 8 MP is already enough for shooting very sharp images, so it really comes down the software that comes with it. We know that the E-Ceros One’s camera is very fast and sharp images. Since the OnePlus One isn’t available yet, we can’t judge the quality.

Conclusion
The E-Ceros One was at the time of launch indeed a flagship killer. If you consider a high-end phone that’s value for money, then the E-Ceros One will be your best choice. If you can wait a bit longer until the OnePlus One is released and you are willing to pay 50-75% higher price for a slightly faster processor, more MP camera, and sharper screen, then the OnePlus One can be a good option.
