There was some big news in the US ecommerce world today. The Chinese are coming and they want your listings.

Alibaba and Taobao (bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601080&sid=aQQpNgJe0G6A&refer=asia) announced that they had come together and were hoping to launch an English version of the Chinese online auction site soon to capture the US market.

This is not surprising when considering the gain in BRIC (Brazil Russia India and China) country influence in the last six-seven years.
