Happy Niu Year from Chinavasion.

As the year of the rat draws to a close and the year of the OX (usbridalguide.com/special/chinesehoroscopes/Ox.htm) Chinavasion would like to thank all of its suppliers, dropshippers, resellers and importers for helping the company grow through 2008.

2008 was a fantastic year for Chinavasion. We have swelled in size and added several new categories to our site including unlocked cell phones and solar products and we have been especially happy to pass some of those good fortune and opportunities on to importers and eBay drop shippers.

Many in the Chinavasion office will now go on their Chinese New Year break and the Chinavasion Office and Warehouse will be closed from 24th January through 1st February with just a emergency customer support staff left to help with your delivery problems and billing inquiries.

Our staff aren’t the only ones taking some time off.

Almost all of China has downed its tools today (if not even earlier) to travel from their cities of work to their home towns to celebrate the Chinese New Year break.

According to the writers of Youku Buzz (buzz.youku.com/2009/01/12/chinese-people-line-up-for-chunyun/) 188 million people would be traveling within the next 40 days (the length of this year’s peak travel season for China).

People were queueing up for tickets and travelling to their home town in cities like Ningbo and Xian according to Chinasmack (chinasmack.com/pictures/spring-festival-train-ticket-lines-in-ningbo-xian/).

The Chinavasion office and warehouse itself will be closed from 24th January through 1st February and items won’t be sent out during that break.

During the holiday time you can still place new orders – they’ll be shipped out first-come, first-served. Stock levels will be updated by our staff daily, so you may see several popular items go out of stock during the holiday time.

We’ll still have emergency staff coming in during our office hours to handle delivery problems or billing inquiries during the break.

You can get with us via email by calling us at +86-755-26451869.

You might also find the answers to your questions at the Chinavasion knowledgebase, which we will be working on in 2009 to make sure we bring you the best information.

We are looking forward to a happy and ahem ox-picious year in 2009 with great new products and a new line of notebooks.

And in the meantime, here’s an entertaining look at how the Chinese horoscope works by an entertaining expat blogger Wo Shi Laowai (mylaowai.com/2009/01/20/the-year-of-the-falling-cow/) (which is Chinese for I am a foreigner).
