Qualcomm Gives A Look Into The Near Future For Tablet Hardware

Qualcomm is now offering its first quad core chipset and for ‘only’ $1299 developers can get their hands on an actual tablet with that S4 Pro hardware.

This hardware also boasts the new Adreno 320 graphics engine, which will have three to four times the processing capacity of the (current) Adreno 225

The developer device has been played with by the testers at Engadget and they are impressed. For us this goes to show that the next couple of years of tablets are going to be a battle for battery technology and prices to keep up with the power potential of the hardware… and perhaps a while for the users to figure out why they need so much power (but perhaps Windows will answer that question).
