What’s been happening in the world of Chinavasion this week?

I know how much everyone looks forward to my Chinese weather report, and all-of-a-sudden the temperature has plummeted to the low teens and single figures at night and I have to say that finally I’m feeling a bit cold!

I do like that China has launched its own ‘peace prize,’ the Confucius Peace Prize, which is conveniently awarded the day before Nobel’s version. I expect to be nominated next year.

You think China is this weird place, far away, that doesn’t affect you? Think again. Like it or not, China is fast becoming the World’s bank. This week Portugal have been, cap-in-hand, to Beijing to ask China to buy their government’s bonds (or is that beg?), in order to try and stop their economy ‘doing an Ireland.’ Will it work? Will the world end up being China? Watch this space!

Nice to see more Chinavasion products online!

The Mini Projector with Wifi + Wireless Remote was covered by wired.com and hardwaresphere, and they thought it was cool to be able to connect wirelessly to the web and project Youtube videos etc. It is indeed cool, and the product is, at the time of writing, on special offer!

We also saw the Hidden Cellphone Jammer (Cigarette Pack) mentioned by redferret.net – thanks guys, and I would absolutely NOT recommend sauntering into starbucks, turning this baby on and then seeing all of the bewildered faces of people making calls as their phones drop the call (the ones who look relaxed, or maybe resigned to this, are the iPhone4 owners – they’re used to it), that would absolutely NOT be funny at all, you have been warned.

This week lovely marketing team colleague Kaya Xu gave us her very first blog, a review of the ground-breaking new sub 100 Euro unlocked Android phone, the Eclipse. I’m actually using one of these myself right now, and I have to say that the quality is great for the price and with the reasonably up-to-date Android 2.1 OS it’s a breeze to use!

Adrian’s Pick Of The Week

Do you have a computer? Don’t lie, I know you do, you’re looking at this blog right now! If so you’ll love the Laptop Desk Buddy (10 USB Ports, Multi-Card Reader, LAN, SIM, Audio, MIC) as these days you know that the USB ports on a laptop are always too few! I reckon almost anyone would appreciate one of these multi-purpose buddys, and at less than 25 bucks you can grab one for you and your mates today!

Remember, keep checking the new products page for the latest releases, especially if you’re reselling!

Here Are Some Of The Customer Questions We’ve Been Asked Recently:

“I want to order a gift today, can I still receive it before Christmas?”

Yes you can, unfortunately we would like to say this Saturday Nov 18th is the deadline to gather your Christmas gifts. Please choose PayPal and couriers such as DHL, UPS and FEDEX by which your order will be confirmed and delivered quickly. Happy Christmas!

Due to bad weather in Europe, we suggest that you double-check with the courier you plan to use to be sure there are no delays to their service.

“I don’t know how to use my new product, can you help me?”

Please send us a ticket to our customer care at in terms of any product questions with your order details contained. The details should include your order number, item code and the specific inquiry you have. We will surely do our best to help you.
