ATSC, Christmas, Digital TV, friday FAQ 2 Comments
It was yet another busy week for us at Chinavasion.
We took a look at the eBay alternative/multi auction listing tool Vendio and took a good long look at exactly how much blog coverage we got in 2009 A Year In Review, 2009’s Hottest Gadget Stories, Part 1.
We also got a lot of questions and we are answering some of the more common ones below so the whole world can see.
So read on as we look at exactly how dropshippers can make their customers happier by paying their taxes for them, what people should do who haven’t got ready for Chirsmtas yet and we take a look at our latest ATSC dongle.
I’m a dropshipper, can I pay the import tax for my customer with my DHL account if I ship with UPS?
On Friday the 13th of November we took a look at import tax and how dropshippers could pay it for their customers by opening up an account with their courier. We should have paid closer attention to the date.
Yes it is possible to pay your customers’ import taxes for them by opening an account with couriers and informing us that you want to take this measure. However, one important thing to remember is that one courier doesn’t work for everybody.
For example, if you’re trying to dropship and use the services of DHL, then you’ll need to use a DHL account to pay import taxes and if you’re shipping with UPS then you will need a UPS account.
Thankfully accounts with couriers are easy to get (and in most cases do not require any form of set-up cost.
I almost forgot to get Christmas gifts, if I order gifts from you will they get to me in time?
While you are indeed cutting things very close to the bone it should still be possible to get last-minute Christmas gifts shipped to your door. To achieve this though we would suggest that you ship by UPS DHL or FedEX and perhaps consider preparing a special card, showing the person exactly what they’re going to be getting for Christmas, like the one in Best Ecommerce Strategy, Prepare For EBay Christmas Sales Now.

Ah, US administrators. They just can’t play nice with the rest of the world when it comes to technology.
The launch of the ATSC signal was a sign of how chaotic tricky the launch of digital television can be and there’s something of a shortage of devices the ATSC signal will work on.
Enter the ATSC USB Tuner The only way of getting ATSC on your laptop.
Which ATSC standard is supported with this tuner, MPEG2 or MPEG4 (H.264)?
This unit supports both MPEG-2 and H.264/MPEG -4 AVC broadcasts.
Can I use different DVR software with the CVMK-K48?
You can use any software you desire. It comes with an evaluation version of ArcSoft Total Media 3.5. Note: We do not guarantee compatibility with all DVR software packages.
Will this work in my country?
