China ZTE: America’s Third-Largest Smartphone Vendor Accounted For 17%

With 17% market share, ZTE, a Chinese multinational telecommunications equipment and systems company which is also a smartphone, feature phone and internet device manufacturer is quickly growing as America’s third-largest smartphone provider.

ZTE’s growth is mainly attributed to the U.S prepaid market share. By strengthening cooperation with American mainstream carriers to launch the competitive products, and bringing the greatest value to the operators and customers, ZTE makes itself as the fastest growing vendor in the U.S. smartphone market of 2012.

At present, a total of 18 models have been launched as prepaid smartphones. According to ZTE Senior Vice President, North America CEO Cheng Lixin, ZTE’s long-term commitment to the forefront of communications technology will be able to meet the high demand and bring more benefits to the customers, whether smartphone or tablet users.
