Alibaba Plans Logistics Network

Led by Alibaba Group, some Chinese big logistic companies Yintai Group, Fosun Group, Fuchun Group, SF, Shen Tong, Yuantong, Zhongtong, and Yunda and other relevant agencies, banks, financial institutions will jointly spend 8-10 years to build a China Smart Logistic Network, referred to CSN, known internally as “ground network”.
The new company officially will start next week. The network can support the everyday 30 billion sales (around 5 billion USD), making each delivery can be delivered within 24 hours.

Currently, CSN program has chosen the sites of the company and other key areas. And it will be set up around eight core locations, and some more urban places as well. The project has also communicated with a number of provinces. The investment of the first phase is 100 billion yuan, with expecting nothing in return.

The specific plans are:

1, Merging with national logistics platform to build a self logistics information system;

2, Alliancing China Post Express with secretly acquiring other logistics companies;

3, Covering both cities, rural areas, and even the whole of China logistics service points.
