What is Quad Core mobile phone?

Recently, we could see many mobile phone advertisements promoting Quad core phones, but what exactly is a Quad Core smartphone? Quad core refers to a phone’s CPU with four separate processors or “execution cores” in the same integrated circuit. Each processor has its own cache and controller, which enables it to function as efficiently as a single processor. The four processors are linked together that make cell phone operations up to fourth or twice as fast as single processor or dual processor can.

So usually Quad-core cell phone can provides enough power to easily multitask and run the most demanding apps and games. You will notice that your Quad core phone will boot faster and your apps will launch instantly.

Which is the first Quad Core Smartphone in the world?
