eBay Launches “Managed Returns” for top sellers
News from ebay today – they’re trying to improve on the returns process by offering a managed / centralized service for top sellers. The ebay information page about managed returns explains that (similar to Amazon) the customer can get a return shipping label and packing slip, with an refunding process for the merchant.
Let’s hope there’s more of this to come, and that ebay will make this available to more sellers soon – as good returns processes are vital for building consumer confidence and keeping happy buyers coming back.
From a news article:
eBay has admitted it has “a variety of return procedures, restrictions and policies” that often make it “impossible to know what returning an eBay purchase will be like.” In other words, the online auction and shopping website knows its system sucks, and is attempting to fix it.
