December is a busy time for retailers. It doesn’t matter if you work in a brick and mortar store, or in an online shop, December is usually the time that most of the Western world is running around trying to get presents in order for Christmas. After all there is a reason it is called ‘the silly season’.
It has been no different for Chinavasion. Everyone at Chinavasion has been busy trying to help customers and get people their orders in time for Christmas and helping to improve customer experience for everybody who shops through Chinavasion.
The QC department has been busy making sure customers get top-quality fully working items. The Chinavasion customer service department has been spending its time making sure customers have all of their questions answered and issues solved.
IT has been hard at work making the Chinavasion site more intuitive and more user friendly. And the marketing department has been doing something… we’re not quite sure what but a MP4 watch did turn up on Quebec TV a while ago.
Chinavasion’s programmers have been especially busy lately trying to make the Chinavasion site more intuitive and more user friendly.
While many of the changes will be rolled out over 2009 one thing that people may have noticed lately is Chinavasion’s greatly improved checkout page.
Before you had to get the page to reload before you could see how changes to your order would cost. But thanks to the power of Ajax changes to the shipper and quantity of goods will change the price instantly.
Yes Ajax shares its name with a trusted cleaning product for dirty floors, kitchens and bathrooms and sounds like the character from ‘Lord Of The Rings’. But it is actually a cool Web 2.0 technology that makes websites interact with users faster.

We are also in the process of overhauling our affiliate section and have some nice new bright and shiny banners for Chinavasion affiliates to play with… just in time for Christmas.
